Sheffield school incident as ‘two teachers in hospital’ with police on the scene

Significant police presence has been observed at a Sheffield school amid reports suggesting two members of staff have been admitted to hospital following an incident.

South Yorkshire Police have been present at Fir Vale Academy, on Owen Lane, since before 1.20pm today (February 26) with parents now assembled outside claiming two teachers from the school are now in hospital. The nature of the incident remains unclear.

Local Facebook page Sheffield Online first reported the incident and shared an image of a South Yorkshire Police officer in the street.

The page claimed the “situation appears to be contained” but warned of temporary traffic disruption in the surrounding roads.

South Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information, reports the Daily Star.
