Amanda Holden has said her marriage dilemma was awkwardly ignored by Bruno Mars when she was invited onto his show. While promoting his new album, The Romantic, the chart-topping sensation appeared on iHeartRadio in America for a special segment where he issued love advice to callers.
The Britain’s Got Talent panellist claims the singer “reached out” to the Heart Radio crew requesting she submit a personal dilemma. Chatting with co-presenter Jamie Theakston, she explained that while there weren’t “many” issues in her 22-year marriage with Chris Hughes, she required advice on tackling one specific matter.
“I did send one in and it made it to his radio show, it went across America,” the 55-year-old disclosed. Broadcasting the conversation to listeners, Amanda was heard asking Bruno: “My question is, I have four rescue animals, I’ve been married to my husband for 22 years, I have two children, I’m desperate to get another puppy.
“I’ve had to already sneak in two of those animals, how do I sneak in another puppy and stay married for another 22 years?”. Bruno praised Amanda’s enduring marriage in his response, though failed to tackle her query.

He answered: “22 years that deserves a [cheer sound] 22 years congratulations to you both. I love animals too, well listen, 22 years, you said you wanted 22 years more, I think you’ve just got to love them.”
“You’ve got to love them more like you’ve never loved before,” he added, before proceeding to play one of his songs. After the clip was broadcast, Amanda chuckled: “What do I do about the puppy? He just blatantly ignored me.”
“It’s almost like he used you,” Jamie proposed, to which she seemingly concurred, adding: “Just to play one of his new songs.”
The presenter hasn’t been shy about her desire to welcome another four-legged friend into her already bustling home. Last month, she made an on-air appeal to her husband after confessing her wish for more children.

“[We’ve got] lots of furry babies, I’m going to have to talk to Chris because I really want to rescue another puppy and if he’s listening and it goes out on air, it’ll be very difficult for him to turn me down,” she quipped.
In an attempt to further persuade him, she added: “Darling, I love you.”
Amanda and Chris are already the owners of rescue dog Rudie and Muffy the cat from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Last year, she also welcomed another cat named Bolt into their home after falling head over heels for him during a holiday in Greece.
Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 7pm on ITV and ITVX
