Inter Milan Vs Genoa – Nerazzurri Boss Chivu Not Taking Any Chances With Italy Star Set To Start

Cristian Chivu is taking no chances tonight as Inter Milan and Dimarco face Genoa at San Siro, with the Nerazzurri boss naming his Italy wing-back in the starting XI as the club target a potentially decisive thirteen-point lead over AC Milan in Serie A.
According to Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, Dimarco and Zielinski are Chivu’s two guaranteed starters, the foundations upon which tonight’s performance will be built.
With the Champions League elimination still fresh, Chivu wants a response, and those two players represent the best of what Inter have to offer domestically.
In defence, Bastoni’s suspension forces Carlos Augusto into the back three, with Acerbi favoured in the centre and Akanji covering the right side.

On the right wing-back, Darmian holds a slight edge over Luis Henrique.
Up front, Bonny and Thuram will reportedly lead the line together.
Genoa arrive at San Siro in a tricky position, not yet safe in the table, boosted by the January addition of Baldanzi but without the injured Norton-Cuffy.
They also hold the distinction of being the last team to score against Inter away from home, through Vitinha.
The San Siro crowd will be key tonight.
Corriere note that supporters were magnificent even after Tuesday’s defeat, with a thunderous roar greeting Dumfries’s return to the pitch after four months out.
Chivu will be counting on that same energy to carry his side to three more important points.
