Major Change To WWE Championship Match At WrestleMania 42

WWE
A potential major change that could alter the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42 has been confirmed.
Coming out of the Elimination Chamber premium live event tonight, the Undisputed WWE Championship picture has been thrown into disarray.
The winner of the men’s Elimination Chamber match was Randy Orton, which in theory should have meant Orton challenging Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42.
However, due to the way the Chamber match concluded, a big announcement has been made after the show.
The Chamber ended with McIntyre getting into the cage and getting involved, attacking Cody Rhodes when things were down to the final two of Rhodes and Orton.
While Orton and Rhodes did work together to fight McIntyre off, Orton then immediately struck Rhodes with an RKO to score the win.
WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had warned McIntyre to stop getting involved and let a #1 contender be fairly decided.
Because McIntyre didn’t do that, Nick Aldis made an announcement on the Elimination Chamber post-show.
On this coming Friday’s March 6 edition of SmackDown, McIntyre will put his WWE Championship on the line against Rhodes.
Of course, this means McIntyre vs Orton may not be the WrestleMania title match after all.
