Paul George remaining involved with Sixers despite serving suspension

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers have had Paul George since Jan. 29 as he was then hit with a 25-game suspension due to violating the league’s anti-drug policy. The Sixers have gone 6-5 in the 11 games since the announcement of George’s suspension and will look to piece thigs together until he can return on March 25.
With that being said, George is continuing to remain involved with the Sixers. Sure, the 9-time All-Star hasn’t been able to get on the floor and play with his teammates in games, but he is still involved in shootarounds and other team activities.
George was working with Sixers rookie VJ Edgecombe on Thursday morning as the team convened for the team’s shootaround to prepare for the Miami Heat.
George can still be a positive for the Sixers despite not being able to play. One has to wonder how Philadelphia will be able to reintegrate him into everything for the final 10 games of the season when he is eligible to return, but they are doing the best they can with the situation they are presented with.
