Real-life soap sweethearts, Bold & Beautiful’s Darin Brooks (Wyat) and Kelly Kruger Brooks (Eva the publicist, Mackenzie Browning, Young & Restless) have jointly announced their separation after nearly ten years of marriage and two children together.
Brooks and Kruger Brooks told TV Insider, “We’re committed to coparenting our two children and remaining friends.”
The pair, who met on the movie set for Blue Mountain State, wed on March 21, 2016, which means that they would have been celebrating ten years of marriage in just a few weeks time. Just over three years later, in September 2019, they welcomed their first daughter, Everleigh Jolie, who was joined by her younger sister, Gemma, in January 2022.
The busy couple, who once showcased their hilarious home-life in a fun video, endeared themselves to soap fans everywhere with their open and engaging style.
Brooks, who hasn’t ruled out a return as Bold & Beautiful’s Wyatt Spencer has been booked and busy, notably starring in the sports comedy, The Roaring Game, with Mickey Rourke and NFL alum and Super Bowl champ, Rob Gronkowski. Kruger Brooks, meanwhile, has made a name for herself as one of TikTok’s most popular beauty influencers.
In a statement released after the news initially broke, Kruger Brooks assured, “While we’ve made the difficult decision to part ways as a couple, we remain deeply respectful of each other and united in our commitment to our beautiful family.” See the full Instagram post below.
