Stars receive F Bunting from Predators

The Nashville Predators have traded forward Michael Bunting to the Dallas Stars in exchange for the Seattle Kraken’s third-round draft pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.
Bunting, 30, has 13 goals and 31 points in 61 games with the Predators this season.

The 6-foot winger is in the final season of a three-year, $13.5 million contract that carries a cap hit of $4.5 million. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Drafted 117th overall by the Arizona Coyotes in 2014, Bunting has 108 goals and 250 points in 405 career games split between the Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Predators.
The Scarborough, Ont., native represented Canada twice at the World Hockey Championship, taking home a gold medal in 2021.
