Flames acquire Strome for seventh-round pick

The Anaheim Ducks have traded forward Ryan Strome to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2027.
Strome, 32, has struggled to stay in the Ducks’ lineup this season, recording three goals and nine points in 33 games.
The 32-year-old posted 41 points exactly in each of the past three seasons with the Ducks, having joined the team as a free agent in 2022.
The 6-foot-1 centre is on the fourth season of a five-year, $25 million contract that carries an annual cap hit of $5 million. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
