The report comes as tensions remain high over the ongoing U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran, though there was no indication from police that the incident in Oslo was linked to those hostilities.

The U.S. State Department maintains a Level 1 travel advisory for Norway, the lowest level in its system, advising Americans to exercise normal precautions.
