BBQ sauce sold nationwide recalled for potentially ‘life-threatening’ issue

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — BBQ sauce sold across the country was recalled because of an issue that could lead to “life-threatening” consequences.
The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for bottles of honey BBQ sauce produced by the Savannah Bee Company because of undeclared wheat and soy allergens. The allergens were included in the product because of unintentional mislabeling between the “sweet” and “mustard” variations of the sauce.
“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the honey BBQ sauce-mustard,” the FDA wrote.Comment with Bubbles
