Fans of Leonardo DiCaprio can stream his Oscar-winning “modern masterpiece” now

An Oscar-winning film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio’s “best performance” is now streaming on Netflix.
The Hollywood legend is hoping to bag the Best Actor prize at this year’s Academy Awards, airing on ITV1 tonight (March 15).
He has been nominated for his latest blockbuster, One Battle After Another, which has 13 nominations in total.
As DiCaprio faces off against fellow nominees including Timothée Chalamet and Michael B. Jordan, fans may want to revisit his 2015 mystery thriller The Revenant.
Currently streaming on Netflix, the film is set in 1820s America as frontiersman Hugh Glass goes on a fur trading journey. When he is mauled by a bear and left for dead by his team, Glass must use his survival skills to make it back to civilisation.

DiCaprio leads the cast as Glass, who is inspired by the real-life American hunter and explorer of the same name. Other big names also star, including Tom Hardy, Will Poulter and Domnhall Gleeson.
The film was nominated for Best Picture, with Hardy receiving a nod in the Supporting Actor category. However, DiCaprio ultimately took home his first ever Oscar for Best Actor. Filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu also took home the Best Director award.
While some moviegoers believe DiCaprio should have won Oscars for his more popular films like The Wolf of Wall Street, others think The Revenant has his finest performance to date.
Taking to Rotten Tomatoes, one viewer praised: “[This is] the best performance of DiCaprio’s career.”

Someone else praised the adventure drama: “One of the greatest cinematic experiences both in technicality and spectacle. A modern masterpiece.”
A third viewer added: “One of my favourite movies to see in a theatre. The cinematography and Leos performance are all breath-taking.”
While a final moviegoer said: “Some of the best cinematography I have ever seen its beautifully disturbing in a good way. You cannot sit through this movie without being cold. If you haven’t yet watch this!”
If DiCaprio bags the Oscar tonight, he will become a two-time winner. Overall, the 51-year-old has a staggering eight Academy Award nominations.
