EXCLUSIVE: Oscar nominee Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Den of Thieves), Emmy winner John Leguizamo (John Wick) and Tony winner Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts) are joining previously announced Josh Hartnett in the cast of action-thriller All Day & All Night.
Written by Tommy Wirkola and John Niven, the pic is being directed by Wirkola, the Norwegian filmmaker best known for the Violent Night and Dead Snow franchises.
Wirkola and Hartnett will produce alongside XYZ Films, who also will finance with backing from IPR.VC and handle global sales. The film is set for production later in 2026.

The synopsis reads: When his daughter gets into Harvard, reformed bank robber Billy Davies (Hartnett) returns to a life of crime to come up with the tuition money. But when the bank heist goes horribly wrong, he and his crew (Nanjiani, Jackson Jr.) accidentally stumble onto the set of a failing reality TV show. Now Billy must stay on air long enough to figure out an escape plan from the cops (Leguizamo and Fogler) trying to arrest him and the mob trying to kill him, while the producers must keep the show on air long enough to boost their ratings and evade cancellation.
XYZ Films has a long relationship with Wirkola. The genre specialist company executive-produced Wirkola’s Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead in 2014, and more recently produced and financed Norwegian film The Trip (directed and co-written by Wirkola), which sold to and was released by Netflix in 2021. Wirkola and XYZ then joined forces to remake the film in English, helmed by Jorma Taccone and starring Jason Segel and Samara Weaving. Titled Over Your Dead Body, the film will premiere in the Headliner section at this weekend’s SXSW and will have a wide theatrical release from IFC on April 24th.

XYZ’s President of Film Guy Danella will oversee and produce for XYZ Films. Prior to joining XYZ earlier this year, Danella produced Universal’s Violent Night, directed by Wirkola and Over Your Dead Body.
Wirkola is in post-production on Universal’s Violent Night 2, which is being released December 2026 and he has a yet-to-be-titled shark thriller starring Phoebe Dynevor coming out on Netflix this summer, which he wrote, directed and produced.
“We’ve assembled a group of my dream actors to join Josh on this movie, and I can’t wait to see them bring life to our eclectic crew of characters. It’s going to be a wild ride,” said Wirkola.
Nanjiani is repped by UTA and Mosaic. Jackson Jr. is repped by WME and Cube Vision. Leguizamo is repped by UTA and Mosaic. Fogler is repped by Verve Talent and Literary, Entertainment 360 and Common Ground Entertainment.
