Ben Shephard has made a return to Good Morning Britain, and fans are delighted.

The star appeared on the latest edition of the hit ITV programme alongside his good friend Chris Kamara to promote their new tour, Ben and Kammy’s Unbelievable Show.

Ben notably left GMB after ten years to co-host This Morning alongside Cat Deeley back in March 2024. The 51-year-old presenter returned to GMB in December 2025, but this marks the star’s first appearance in the show’s new central London studio.

Teasing the interview with Ben and Chris, Susanna Reid began: “Still to come, there’s a little teaser for you. You’re sitting there in place, smelling delicious by the way. It’s four years since footballing legend Chris Kamara was diagnosed with the rare neurological condition which affected his ability to speak, but he’s back.

“[He’s] taking to the stage with his good friend, our much-loved, it says here, former colleague Ben Shephard. You’re not a former colleague, you are still a colleague!”

Ben then joked: “I know where the autocue is, so I just tweaked that a touch,” before turning to Kate Garraway, saying: “Don’t you forget me, Garraway.”

Chris and Ben’s tour sees the pair reflect on defining moments from their remarkable careers, as well as revealing personal stories from behind the camera – giving fans a heartfelt glimpse into their special friendship.

The production will be heading to Portsmouth in April, the city that’s home to Chris’s first football club. The duo will then make appearances in London and Manchester in May and June.

Speaking about the tour, Chris shared: “To begin with, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but from the first laugh we got, it was just incredible.”

Ben added: “It’s really exciting on the road, you’re absolutely right, because we don’t see the viewers. So, suddenly having them there and they can ask us questions about our careers. We go through all of Kammy’s amazing moments, some of the things I’ve done, [and] some of the great Tipping Point answers that we’ve had over the years.”

ITV viewers were delighted to see Ben and Chris on the show, with many sharing their excitement on X (formerly Twitter). “Absolutely adore Ben and Kammy,” one person wrote.

Another added: “I love Kammy, what a fella,” while a third said: “What a lovely friendship.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Ben opened up about his new ITV series, The Summit, which is approaching its grand finale. The star revealed that he would have loved to attempt some of the show’s challenges, but insurance wouldn’t allow him to do so.

He shared: “I was helicoptered in and they took me away again at night. Insurance wouldn’t allow me to do those sorts of things, so I watched from afar sadly. I would have loved to give it a go, because they go across the crevasse, they climb up an ice wall – it’s been an incredible journey.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
