Djo’s Portland Performance At Thompsons Point Promises A Night Of Dreamy Indie Sounds

I’m honestly so hyped for this, Djo is coming to Portland on July 21, and it’s at Thompson’s Point, which is basically the perfect summer concert setup. Tickets go on general sale Friday, March 20 at 12pm, and I already know they’re going to go fast.
Djo (aka Joe Keery from Stranger Things, but also very much his own thing musically) has built a huge following over the past few years. His sound is super vibey, kind of psychedelic indie with synth-heavy, dreamy energy. Songs like “End of Beginning” blew up recently, so it feels like he’s hitting this peak where a lot of people are just discovering him, but longtime fans already know how good his stuff is live.

Also, Thompson’s Point in the summer is just unmatched. It’s right on the water, the sunsets are insane, and the whole place has this laid-back but electric atmosphere. Everyone’s outside, there’s food trucks, people hanging on blankets or dancing near the stage, it’s one of those venues where the experience is just as good as the music.
This feels like one of those concerts that’s going to be the summer night you remember. Between Djo’s vibe and the setting, it’s kind of a perfect combo.
