Cunningham suffered the injury early on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards and did not return to the game. He missed the Pistons’ next contest a day later before Charania broke the news Thursday morning.
The 24-year-old All-Star was averaging 24.5 points per game to go along with 9.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds for the East-leading Pistons (49-19).
More to come.
