Kevin Durant passes Michael Jordan for fifth on all-time NBA scoring list

Kevin Durant has passed Michael Jordan to take sole possession of No. 5 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Hitting a three-pointer late in the fourth quarter, as his Houston Rockets took on the Miami Heat Saturday, Durant scored his 25th, 26th and 27th points of the night to give him 32,294 career points, surpassing Jordan’s 32,292.
Durant accomplished the feat in his 1,190th career game. It took Jordan 1,072 games to reach his milestone.
Up next on the all-time list for Durant is the late, great Kobe Bryant, who sits in fourth place with 33,643 points.
LeBron James is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, coming into Saturday’s action with 43,229 points scored and counting.
