4 people stabbed during fight at downtown LA restaurant Zaya, police say; 2 suspects in custody

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Four people were stabbed during a fight inside a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, according to police.
Los Angeles police responded to a call about a possible stabbing just after 5:30 p.m. at Zaya Restaurant, located at 7th Street and Olive Street.
AIR7 flew over the scene and captured video of a large first responder presence in the area.
According to LAPD, as a party at the restaurant was winding down, an argument between multiple people escalated, and four people were stabbed.
Police said two people stabbed with a knife and one person stabbed with a bottle were transported to the hospital. One person’s injuries were described as moderate, and the two others were described as minor. The injuries reportedly include lacerations to the arms and back.
While LAPD initially said three people were stabbed, in a later update, they said they learned a fourth person apparently had a laceration to the neck but ran from the scene and has not been located. That person’s condition is unknown.
Police said two suspects were taken into custody at the scene, and no one is outstanding.
