Peter Rosenberg Says Tom Brady Must Get “Punched In The Mouth” After Calling WWE Fake

Peter Rosenberg said on Cheap Heat that if Tom Brady does not get physically hit by a professional wrestler after using the word “fake” to describe WWE, then the entire angle was done wrong, and that if Brady is not getting beat up at WrestleMania, he has no interest in the involvement at all.
Rosenberg, along with co-hosts Stat Guy Greg and Dipperstein, discussed Brady’s latest comments in which Brady called WWE “cute and scripted” and said there is “no fake BS we do in American football.” Rosenberg noted that WWE merch copyrights for Tom Brady had surfaced a couple of weeks ago, which he said makes it clear the company is building toward something. But he said Brady has now crossed a line that requires a physical payoff.
“Now that Tom Brady has used the F word on wrestling, if he doesn’t personally get at least smacked in the face, if not worse, I hate this,” Rosenberg said. “No one should ever be involved in a WWE thing in which they use the word fake unless they are going to get touched at some point. If this just ends without Tom Brady getting physically touched up by professional wrestlers, then this was done wrong.”
The Logan Paul Connection
Rosenberg said his assumption is that Brady and Logan Paul will eventually come together as heels, possibly at the celebrity flag football game, with both men dismissing the wrestling business. He theorized that Logan Paul would lean back into being an outsider who looks down on wrestling.
“I feel like at the flag football game, they’re going to come together and both be heels together,” Rosenberg said. He said Logan Paul would co-sign Brady by leaning into the attitude of “I’m an outsider, you guys are losers,” effectively dismissing the business alongside Brady.
Stat Guy Greg called that scenario “equally stupid” even as a best case. “That’s, if that’s what it’s leading to, it’s the best case scenario. But it’s still very bad,” he said. “Because then why is Logan Paul co-signing this?”
Rosenberg said even if that is where it goes, it is no longer enough. “If they do that, it’s not enough that Logan Paul would get beat up. I need Tom Brady beat up now,” he said. “Is Tom Brady getting beat up at WrestleMania? That’s the question. Because if not, I’m good. I don’t need his involvement.”
“Someone Needs to Beat This Man’s Ass”
Rosenberg dismissed the premise of Brady’s original question about how many WWE wrestlers it would take to sack him. “The answer is every single person in the locker room, basically, besides Peter Rosenberg and Sam Roberts, can tackle Tom Brady,” he said. “What are we talking about? The man is a brittle old man who never could move in the best of his, the best version of Tom Brady, he was an absolute statue. So the whole thing is ridiculous.”
Rosenberg said Brady succeeded in triggering the wrestling fanbase but that a reaction alone is not enough. “The point is not just to trigger us, it’s to trigger us and then give us some sort of entertainment value,” he said. “Congratulations, you did it. Now someone needs to beat this man’s ass.”
Stat Guy Greg agreed, saying Brady has gone too far to walk away clean. “Tom Brady needs to get beat up regardless,” he said. “What he said, he’s gone way too far with the F word and ‘cute.’ To answer his question of how many superstars would it take to sack Tom Brady, one, and his name is Roman Reigns. And that’s the answer.”
Dipperstein said the payoff has to include physical contact. “The most entertaining thing for me and most other fans would be to see Tom Brady get punched in the mouth,” he said. “Maybe some blood, but I’ll take a bloodless punch in the mouth. Some sort of punch in the mouth has to happen.”
Brady’s comments came after weeks of him referring to WWE as “cute” in promotional appearances. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
