New WWE Rumors on Tom Brady, WrestleMania 42 amid Rivalry with Logan Paul After Flag Football Game

Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady’s budding rivalry with WWE Superstar Logan Paul reportedly could lead to a showdown at WrestleMania 42.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE has opened discussions with Brady about an appearance at the marquee event, which will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.

“From what I have been told, they are in negotiations for Tom Brady, but there’s absolutely not a deal at this point for Tom Brady,” Meltzer reported (h/t WrestleTalk). “So it could happen, obviously Logan Paul and Tom Brady are working, everyone knows they’re working the angle, I think people have seen that coming in, but there could be something in some form at WrestleMania.”

Brady and Paul went back and forth in the buildup to Saturday’s Fanatics Flag Football Classic, with the YouTuber-turned-pro wrestler drawing the ire of the future Hall of Famer when he claimed he’s more athletic than NFL stars. During Saturday’s game, Brady trolled Paul on the field by tossing the football at him after a play.

However, Meltzer reported that this was all part of building the rivalry between Paul and Brady to bring the seven-time Super Bowl champion to the world of pro wrestling.

“It would not be a surprise, and what they did in the (flag) football game was clearly to build it. All the talk of Tom Brady cutting down pro wrestlers and all the wrestlers responding, that is all storyline,” Meltzer said. “That is not, ‘Tom Brady’s a d–k and he doesn’t respect pro wrestling.'”

There are just a few weeks left before WrestleMania 42, so it will be interesting to see if something comes to fruition between Brady and WWE.
