Piers Morgan abruptly ended a tense interview after a guest on his show commented on his marriage.
The controversial British television personality, who now hosts the show “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on YouTube, shut down controversial TikTok star Harrison Sullivan in a March 18 interview, after he seemed to imply Morgan’s wife was unhappy in their marriage.
Sullivan, 24, has entered the national spotlight after being featured in a Netflix documentary that explores the “Manosphere,” a term used to describe the cadre of ultra-“masculine” male internet personalities and their followers, which critics describe as misogynistic.
In the film, called “Inside The Manosphere,” Sullivan says he would disown a child if they were to come out as LGBTQ. Morgan pressed the young influencer on the comment, who denied being “homophobic.” He then took aim at the host, accusing him of traveling to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s island. Epstein is accused of trafficking young girls for decades, including on the tropical property he owned.
“I’ve never been to Epstein’s Island, just to be clear. Never met the man, never went to his Island,” Morgan responded.
Clearly frustrated, Morgan pushed back, saying: “I couldn’t care less about your silly little insult. It’s like a 2-year-old,” adding: “I think you’re a sexist, misogynist, homophobic twerp who got exposed in a global way by Netflix, by Louis Theroux, for what you are.”
In response, Sullivan brought up a photo of Morgan’s wife, Celia Walden, on Instagram. Walden, who wed Morgan in 2010, had posted a snap of herself on Instagram lounging by a pool with a sign “pool boys wanted.”
“As soon as you’re away – what is this? ‘Applications are open?’ That’s your ting, bro. That’s your girl. Cooked,” he said.
Clearly enraged, Morgan cut off the interview and walked off set. “Let’s end this, please. I’m not doing this, guys, it’s pointless,” he said.
