Arsenal star Viktor Gyokeres appears to have rekindled with his model ex-girlfriend

Viktor Gyokeres’ ex-girlfriend, with whom he reportedly split ahead of his Arsenal transfer, has dropped a massive hint that they’ve got back together. The forward joined the Gunners in a £64million switch last summer following a stand-off with previous club Sporting CP.
The Sweden international eventually went on strike to push through the transfer. The 27-year-old was rumoured to have even called time on his year-long relationship with actor and influencer Ines Aguiar as he didn’t want anything keeping him tied to the country while he fought for a move, according to reports in Portugal.
Those claims led Arsenal supporters to reference the break-up in a song for their new striker. Gyokeres was forced to address a question about the chant, sung to the tune of Salt-N-Pepa’s ‘Push It’, which claims: “He dumped his girlfriend, to play in red and white.”
Ines has now hinted on social media that the pair remain an item. She posted a series of photos to her 208,000 Instagram followers, captioning it: “Somewhere in a very recent past”.

Sharp-eyed fans quickly spotted that one of her selfie videos was filmed inside Mansfield’s Field Mill Stadium. This indicates she had been in attendance to watch Gyokeres face the League One outfit in the FA Cup earlier this month.

However, Ines would have been left underwhelmed as Gyokeres did not make it off the bench during the narrow 2-1 victory. She donned a black leather coat and a black hoodie pulled up over her head, along with a black cap, while striking a pose in the distinctive blue and yellow stands.
Aguiar, who originates from Lisbon, was frequently spotted at Gyokeres’ matches when he was still playing for Sporting last season. She even sported the jersey and, at one point, was surrounded by fans keen to ask her about Gyokeres’ future before his move to Arsenal.

A viral social media video showed her ‘promising’ to try to convince the goal-scorer to remain with the club for a third season. However, Gyokeres ultimately opted to return to English football.
Gyokeres has scored 16 goals in 42 appearances for the Gunners in his debut season. However, he failed to get on the scoresheet in the Carabao Cup final last weekend.
His immediate focus will be on helping Sweden’s bid to qualify for this summer’s World Cup. Graham Potter’s side are set to face Ukraine in a play-off semi-final on Thursday.
