In Time Out, Scott Cooper’s New Psychological Drama, Adam Sandler Is on the Edge

Adam Sandler is looking for work. And that’s just the beginning of his problems.

In Time Out, The Pale Blue Eye director Scott Cooper’s new film, Golden Globe nominee Sandler (Uncut Gems, Jay Kelly) plays Vincent, a man who has recently been fired and is struggling to conceal the truth about his precarious situation from his family.

“I first encountered Laurent Cantet’s film in 2001, and it’s lived with me ever since,” says Cooper. “I’ve been thinking about revisiting it for years, but now felt like the right moment — we’re living in a time where questions of identity, work, and self-worth have become impossible to ignore.”

The psychological drama brings Sandler’s character to the brink. As the family man spins his quickly growing web of deception to protect his family, he finds himself asking universal questions that transcend his situation. What kind of lies do we tell the people we love? How do we justify them? And what happens, inevitably, when they discover the truth?

Vincent is about to find out. Read on to learn more about Time Out, and meet the rest of Cooper’s killer cast.
