Pacers F Jarace Walker leaves game vs Clippers with possible concussion

INDIANAPOLIS — Pacers third-year forward Jarace Walker left Friday’s game against the Clippers after hitting his head following a dunk in the first quarter. The public address announcer stated Walker had to go back to the locker room for observation because of “concussion protocol” though it was not immediately clear if Walker is technically in protocol. Pacers PR declared him questionable to return for concussion evaluation.
Walker needed a moment after the dunk to get off the floor and then he stayed hunched over under the bucket. Aaron Nesmith helped him walk off the floor. Walker wanted to shoot free throws for the foul on the play, but the Pacers called him off the floor.
Walker is averaging a career-high 11.6 points per game this season and has scored in double figures in eight straight games and 13 of his last 14.
Nesmith hit the free throw after the Pacers removed Walker but Walker can still return to the game due to the concussion protocols if he is cleared.
