Powerball’s jackpot has climbed to $166 million, with a $74.5 million cash option, ahead of the next drawing on Saturday, March 28, as players across the country take another shot at a big win.

The game has produced nearly 200 jackpot winners since 1992, with the most recent coming March 2, when a ticket sold in Arkansas hit for $251 million. Powerball is played in 45 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The next drawing is set for 10:59 p.m. ET and the odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 292 million, but smaller prizes are far more common — with overall odds of winning any prize at about 1 in 25.
