Multan Sultans Preview

Multan Sultans kickstarted their season with a bang where they won their first match of the season against Islamabad United by 5 wickets in a high intensity game where they chased down 172 runs in 18.4 overs.

Bowling first the Sultans restricting Islamabad United to 171/8 in 20 overs, they were a bit expensive in the powerplay overs conceding 48 runs, and when it looked like Islamabad were well on their way towards posting a 200 plus score Momin Qamar and Mohammad Wasim Jr dragged the game back with four wickets in the 12-18 over phase which stalled all the momentum.

Qamar finished with figures of 3/24 in 3 overs, while Mohammad Wasim Jr picked up 2 wickets conceded 42 runs in 4 overs. Mohammad Nawaz, Peter Siddle and Arafat Minhas all chipped in with one wicket each.

Multan Sultans chased down the target clinically, reaching 175-5 in 18.4 overs. Despite losing Sahibzada Farhan early, Josh Philippe (55) anchored the innings with a brisk half-century. Key contributions from Ashton Turner (43)* and a late cameo by Arafat Minhas ensured the win.

Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen Preview

Hyderabad Kingsmen’s poor run of form continues in the PSL 2026 as they suffered a 40-run defeat despite some bright spots with the ball. After been sent in to bowl first by the Quetta Gladiators, Their bowling unit started strongly, with Riley Meredith leading the charge by claiming three crucial top-order wickets.

Maheesh Theekshana provided excellent control, picking up 2 wickets for just 24 runs, while Akif Javed chipped in with two late scalps. Despite these efforts, they struggled to contain the middle-overs scoring, eventually conceding 174 runs.

The run-chase, however, never really gained momentum for Hyderabad. The Kingsmen top order collapsed early, losing Saim Ayub and Maaz Sadaqat within the first two overs. Captain Marnus Labuschagne (23) and Usman Khan (14) attempted to rebuild, but the scoring rate remained sluggish.

Irfan Khan (33) and Hassan Khan (31) provided some late resistance with a 48-run partnership, but the target proved too distant. The Kingsmen finished their 20 overs at 134-8, falling well short of the mark.

Two huge losses early in the season put a real dent on the Kingsmen’s net run rate and they need to regroup quickly here as another loss here early in the season might bring curtains to their campaign.

HHK Over/Under Betting Tips

Marnus Labuschagne Total Runs Over 20.5 @ 1.85

Bet now

Labuschagne has scored 49 runs in 2 matches at an average of 24.5, and in the previous game he managed 23 (21), showing some stability in an otherwise struggling batting unit. With Hyderabad’s top order failing, he remains the only reliable anchor and is likely to face enough balls to cross this line.

Hyderabad Kingsmen to score under 55.5 in 6 Overs @ 1.85

Bet now

Hyderabad’s batting struggles have been consistent, with repeated low scores in the powerplay contributing to totals in the 130s range. Despite the venue average of 58, their current form suggests a more cautious or struggling start, making them a safer call.

Total Over/Under Betting Tips

Total 6’s in Match Over 12.5 @ 1.75

Bet now

The average number of sixes in the last 3 games is around 15 per match, indicating strong hitting conditions. With players like Philippe, Turner, and power hitters in both lineups, clearing this line looks very achievable.

Total Match 4’s under 31.5 @ 1.85

Bet now

Across the last 3 PSL games at this venue, the average number of fours is around 26 per match. This line sits significantly higher, and unless both teams bat exceptionally well, staying under looks like the value play.

We back the Multan Sultans to win the coin toss in today’s match against the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.

Toss: To Bowl

It has been even stevens in terms of the matches won while batting 1st and bowling this PSL season with three wins each. Multan Sultans prefer to chase here, while the Hyderabad Kingsmen haven’t been successful with both their losses so far have come while bowling first. But on a good batting track, we predict the team that wins the toss will opt to bowl first.

Multan Sultan enter this contest as the favourites to win against a struggling Hyderabad Kingsmen side who are yet to win a match this season. The Sultan’s hold a better batting unit than the Kingsmen and we predict them to secure their 2nd win of the season.
