  • New plug-in hybrid option joins Grandland’s comprehensive electrified range, along with 48V hybrid and fully electric versions
  • Grandland Plug-In Hybrid offered at same price as hybrid version for greater customer value, with prices starting from £36,615 OTR
  • Electric range of 51 miles (WLTP) means Grandland Plug-in Hybrid attracts a benefit-in-kind rate of just 10% (2026/27), making it ideally suited to company car drivers
  • 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with 21kWh battery for up to 117.7mpg (WLTP Combined)
  • Three trims available: Design, GS, and top-of-the-range Ultimate

The Vauxhall Grandland range has been expanded with the addition of a plug-in hybrid powertrain, available to order now with prices starting from £36,615 OTR (On-The-Road) – identical to the hybrid version.

Completing a comprehensive range of electrified powertrains, the Grandland Plug-In Hybrid joins fully electric and 48V hybrid variants to offer customers complete choice and flexibility for their every driving need.

The Grandland Plug-in Hybrid features a 21kWh battery to deliver an efficient all-electric range (EAER) of up to 51 miles (WLTP combined), attracting a benefit-in-kind rate of just 10% for the 2026/27 tax year following government changes to how BiK rates are calculated for company car users.*

In hybrid driving mode, the petrol engine and electric motor work alternately or simultaneously, with the 55-litre fuel tank providing increased economy and range for longer journeys.

Available across the same three trim levels as the rest of the Grandland line-up – Design, GS, and Ultimate – Grandland Plug-in Hybrid presents generous specification as standard. Pricing of the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid is made accessible for consumers, with it attractively matching the same OTR price as the hybrid variant.

Exterior

The new Grandland Plug-in Hybrid is a versatile and family-friendly mid-sized SUV that shares the same recognisable design language as other models in the Vauxhall range, with the brand’s bold and pure design language embodied in the signature 3D Vizor front grille.

Enhancing this further, Edge Light Technology illuminates the Griffin logo proudly in the centre of the grille on GS trim and above, which is accompanied by the award-winning and industry-leading Intelli-Lux HD headlights on Ultimate trim. Vauxhall’s most advanced lighting system features more than 50,000 individual elements that cut out preceding and oncoming road users, delivering outstanding visibility in all conditions without dazzling other drivers.

At 4,650mm in length, Grandland is the largest model in the Vauxhall SUV line-up, which boasts practicality and ultimate passenger comfort with generous interior space and storage.

As standard, Design models sit on 19-inch alloy wheels, while GS models come with 19-inch diamond-cut alloys, and Ultimate tops the range with 20-inch diamond-cut alloys. Design models come with a body-coloured spoiler, while GS and Ultimate models feature a stylish, contrasting black roof and high gloss black finish for the bumpers and rear spoiler.

Interior

Grandland Plug-in Hybrid presents a high-tech, driver-focused cockpit that offers comfort, driver engagement, and a calm ambience.

A highlight of the interior is Vauxhall’s ergonomic seats to ensure the highest levels of comfort. All versions come with the patented Intelli-Seat feature in the front seats, a recess inspired by the saddle design on road bicycles that relieves pressure on the tailbone. GS and Ultimate models feature an AGR-certified (the German “Campaign for Healthier Backs”) driver’s seat. Alcantara® or heated and ventilated premium Nappa leather seats with massage function are available as optional extras for the Ultimate trim.

A 10-inch centrally mounted infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ sits in the centre of the dashboard, while ahead of the driver is a fully digital 10-inch cluster that provides essential information. GS and Ultimate models feature a larger 16-inch infotainment system complete with wireless smartphone charging.

The capacious Grandland Plug-in Hybrid provides generous legroom for passengers, and with the rear seats folded down 40:20:40, it creates a load volume of up to 1,645 litres. With the seats up, the Grandland has a boot volume of 550 litres.

Powertrain

Grandland Plug-in Hybrid offers drivers freedom and flexibility with a combination of zero local emissions electric driving and efficient petrol engine performance that perfectly suits everyday drives and long journeys alike.

The plug-in hybrid system features a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission paired with a 21kWh battery (17.9kWh usable capacity) for an efficient all-electric range of up to 51 miles, based on the WLTP combined cycle.

Total system power output is 225PS and 350Nm of torque, enabling the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid to accelerate from 0-62mph in 7.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 137mph. Emitting just 55g/km of CO2, its efficiency is further highlighted by energy consumption of up to 117.7mpg (WLTP).

Across the three trims, a 3.7kW single-phase on-board charger and a Mode 2 charging cable for domestic charging are included as standard, whilst a 7.4kW single-phase on-board charger and a Mode 3 charging cable are available as options at £500 each.

Drivers can conveniently charge the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid at home using a standard 10A socket (2.3kW AC), achieving a 20-80% charge in 9 hours and 5 minutes. When connected to a 7.4kW AC charging station, charging times are reduced to 5 hours and 30 minutes with the 3.7 kW on-board charger, or as little as 2 hours and 55 minutes with the 7.4 kW on-board charger.

Specification

Design models are generously equipped with driver convenience and safety features as standard. LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors with rear camera, plus adaptive cruise control with stop and go are included, as well as an array of driving aids such as automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, extended traffic sign recognition, driver drowsiness alert, crash braking, and intelligent speed adaptation. Inside the tech-forward cabin, drivers can take advantage of a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™, a six-speaker audio system, and dual-zone electronic climate control.

GS versions enhance the specification of Design with the addition of the 3D Vizor with illuminated Griffin, tinted rear windows, and a gloss black finish for the roof, bumpers and rear spoiler. The interior features heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and seven-colour ambient lighting, while the infotainment system is upgraded with a 16-inch touchscreen and wireless smartphone charging.

Ultimate sits at the top-of-the-range, offering further driver assistance such as a 360-degree camera and a head-up display. Intelli-Drive 2.0 is included as standard with a suite of features including semi-automated lane change assist, lane positioning assist, rear cross traffic alert and long-range blind spot detection. A heated windscreen and a powered hands-free tailgate are included, plus amplified entertainment via a premium audio system from Focal® with 10-speakers and a subwoofer.

Pricing

On-the-road prices for the Vauxhall Grandland Plug-In Hybrid start from £36,615 for Design, £38,565 for GS, and £39,740 for Ultimate trims. Price parity is achieved between plug-in hybrid and hybrid versions, offering more consumer choice and accessibility. All versions of the Grandland, including the plug-in hybrid, are priced under the £40,000 threshold for the Expensive Car Supplement.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS

Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made.  Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric.  Find out more at www.electricstreets.co.uk

Vauxhall is proud to be the official automotive partner of Team GB. The partnership sees Britain’s most loved sports team and one of Britain’s most recognisable automotive brands joining forces, with Vauxhall supporting athletes as they prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification – as of 2021, it was one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. Since the end of 2024, Vauxhall has offered a fully electric version of every model in its car and van line-up. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
