Dione Barbosa faces Melissa Gatto in the first fight of today’s UFC card in a Women’s Flyweight bout. Gatto is 9-2-2 with seven finishes, as Barbosa has an overall record of 8-4 with four submissions. The Prelims for this card begin at 5:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Barbosa is 2-2 in the UFC after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2023. She is coming off a loss to Karine Silova at UFC 319 in August 2025. Barbosa’s latest victory came against Diana Beibita in April 2025. This is Gatto’s first fight in nearly two years, as she last fought Tamires Vidal in May 2024.
Although Barbosa is the taller fighter (5’6″ vs. 5’5″), Gatto has a three-inch edge in standing reach (69″ vs. 66″). Barbosa is a slight -125 favorite with Gatto being the underdog at +105 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total rounds are set at 2.5 with the over being -315.
I give the edge to Barbosa in this contest due to her more versatile skill set and her more active fighting lately. If Barbosa can be defensively sound on her feet while successfully mixing in takedowns, she should be able to find success in this contest.
