Helen Flanagan has brushed off any talk of rivalry with Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney, insisting she’s confident in her own skin.
The former Coronation Street actress, long a tabloid favourite thanks to her glamorous snaps and lingerie shoots, says she doesn’t feel threatened by rising stars making headlines. Instead, she’s focused on doing things her own way.
“I don’t really think about it,” Helen exclusively said at the Ex on the Beach launch. “I’m very much a free spirit and I go very much to the beat of my own drum, so I don’t pay attention to all that. I hold my own.”

Despite often being compared to other famous tabloid names, Helen made it clear she isn’t interested in competition and prefers to stay in her own lane.
While Sydney, 28, has been making waves with her own lingerie venture Syrn, Helen, 35, revealed she’s already been there and done that.
“I actually had my own lingerie brand, but it was a maternity brand,” she explained. “It was really pretty, it was for when you’re pregnant and when you’re nursing.”
The brand, named after her daughter, was close to her heart. “It was called Delilah Ruby, but then it then Covid happened and I just closed it.”
Helen, who recently turned heads appearing in a bikini on screen for Ex on the Beach, admitted she initially had some nerves stepping in front of the camera, but ultimately found the experience “empowering.”

“Obviously, being a mum-of-three and the eldest girl in there… I was a bit ‘ugh’, but it was really quite empowering, I really enjoyed it,” she said.
Helen also discussed her future on Coronation Street and revealed why fans won’t be seeing her back as Rosie Webster just yet. The Corrie icon, who first played Rosie in January 2000 at just nine years old, left the soap in 2012 but returned for an 18-month stint between 2017 and 2018 before taking maternity leave.
At the Ex On The Beach launch party, Helen told us: “I really want to go back, but they [ITV] just have not asked me! If the Cobbles come calling, I would love to. I am literally just down the road but sadly, they have not yet.”
She joked about her own love life while talking about the soap: “It is the nearest I am going to get to marriage at the moment, so I need Rosie to have the Coronation Street wedding and me pouring the pints behind the bar.”
