Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle rolled off the overpass on Crowchild Trail near 16 Avenue NW Monday morning.
Police say it happened around 6:45 a.m.
As a result, Crowchild Trail is closed northbound at 5 Avenue NW and southbound at 16 Avenue NW.
Significant traffic delays are expected. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The crash comes as Environment Canada issued a warning for freezing drizzle in the city around 6:30 a.m. Drivers are advised to take their time and drive with caution.
