Toronto Raptors sign guard Tyreke Key

After a solid season with the Raptors 905 in the G League, Tyreke Key has been rewarded with a contract from the big club.
The Toronto Raptors signed the six-foot-two guard to a contract on Monday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Key, 27, averaged 14.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 47 games with the Raptors 905 this season.
A native of Celina, Tenn., Key joined the Raptors 905 ahead of the 2024-25 season after playing one year overseas in Belgium.
Key joins a Raptors team that is trying to avoid the NBA’s play-in tournament. The Raptors enter Monday’s action seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 43-35 record.
Toronto has an identical record as the sixth-placed Philadelphia 76ers, but Philly holds the tiebreaker.
The top six seeds in each conference avoid the play-in tournament.
