UF graduate programs climb in 2026 U.S. News rankings, with education among nation’s best News

The University of Florida continues to demonstrate strength across graduate education in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings released today.
The College of Education led UF’s performance, rising to No. 2 nationally, its highest position to date, and placing six specialty programs in the top 20. The College of Pharmacy received a No. 4 ranking and the College of Veterinary Medicine received a No. 6 ranking, continuing their long-standing position among the top programs nationally.
UF’s College of Medicine has been recognized as one of the nation’s top medical schools, earning a Tier 1 designation for research in the latest rankings. The Warrington College of Business, Levin College of Law, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, College of Public Health and Health Professions and Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering also earned national recognition for program excellence.
“These rankings reflect the University of Florida’s continued momentum as we strengthen graduate education across disciplines,” said UF Interim Provost Joe Glover. “Our colleges are advancing research, preparing future leaders and delivering real-world impact in Florida and beyond.”
In addition to the college rankings listed above, multiple UF graduate programs ranked in the top 10 in their fields:

- Special Education – No. 5
- Biological/Agricultural Engineering – No. 6
- Real Estate – No. 8
- Occupational Therapy – No. 8

- Elementary Teacher Education – No. 12
- Nuclear Engineering – No. 13
- Accounting – No. 16

- Dispute Resolution Law – No. 18
- Educational Administration – No. 19
- Higher Education Administration – No. 19

- Industrial/Manufacturing/Systems Engineering – No. 19
