Utah Mammoth unveil new team-themed Zamboni converted from 2002 Winter Olympics

The Utah Mammoth unveiled their brand-new “Zammoth,” a Zamboni transformed into a ride for fans around the ice during pregame and intermission at Mammoth home games.

The Zammoth is set to debut on the ice during Tuesday night’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Mammoth-themed Zammoth was built with the help of the Utah-based Diesel Brothers.

It no longer cleans the ice but was transformed and custom-built using the frame of a Zamboni from the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, turning a piece of Utah history into a ride for Mammoth fans.

The Zammoth measures about 17 feet by 7 feet by 8 feet and will carry up to eight riders, according to the Utah Mammoth.
