Raptors get Immanuel Quickley back vs. Heat

The Toronto Raptors will have their starting point guard back for a big game against the Miami Heat.

Immanuel Quickley was upgraded to available and was in the starting lineup Tuesday as the Raptors hosted the Heat for the first of two games this week.

Quickley missed eight games with plantar fasciitis in his foot.

“It is at a point now that it needs to be managed,” head coach Darko Rajakovic said of the injury on March 27. “The best and the only way to get it completely healed is like not do anything for two, three, four weeks, obviously that’s not gonna be the case with IQ. … He’s gonna be available to play.”

Quickley is averaging 16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and six assists on 44.5 per cent shooting through 67 games this season.

The Raptors also upgraded Collin Murray-Boyles (quad contusion) and Sandro Mamukelashvili (knee soreness) to available for the Heat game.

The Raptors enter play a half-game up on the Philadelphia 76ers for sixth-place in the Eastern Conference.
