All traffic has been stopped on part of the M6 southbound following a crash near Warrington this morning.
Vehicles are being held between junctions 21A at the M62 Croft Interchange and 21 at the A57 in Woolston.
Queues are building up in the area, with traffic cameras showing congestion approaching the crash scene.
It follows a collision, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring service.
