Weather maps show the exact time a mini-heatwave is set to hit Liverpool. Temperatures are set to reach 21°C in the city on Tuesday (April 7).
The Met Office forecasts wall-to-wall sunshine on Tuesday. The city will be hotter than the Mediterranean party island of Ibiza on Tuesday, where temperatures will struggle to reach 19°C. Conditions will stay warm on Wednesday, with highs of 19°C. More clouds will gather Wednesday.
Temperatures will fall to 11°C for the start of the Grand National festival on Thursday. Rain is predicted, with an 80% chance of precipitation on Thursday morning.
More rain is expected for Ladies Day on Friday, with highs of 12°C, and showers are forecast for the Grand National day itself.
Average maximum temperatures for Merseyside in April are 12.7°C, according to Met Office data gathered at Crosby weather station.
