Sarisbury Green care home rated ‘good’ following CQC inspection

A care home has been given a glowing endorsement following an unannounced inspection.

Ancasta Grove, operated by Care UK in Sarisbury Green, was rated ‘good’ across all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) during a two-day comprehensive review.

Inspectors assessed the home across the CQC’s five key lines of enquiry: safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness, and leadership.

The CQC report highlighted the personalised approach taken by staff, noting that care was tailored to residents’ individual needs, backgrounds, and preferences.

Inspectors found the team to be knowledgeable about each resident’s life history and aspirations, stating that the home treated people as individuals and ensured their care reflected their identities and wishes.

Relatives also praised the quality of care and the welcoming environment.

One family member shared how staff went above and beyond to organise a special outing for a resident’s birthday.

They said: “My relative had a big birthday earlier this year and the staff organised a trip to a local maritime museum, and we had a personal tour behind the scenes.”

Another family member praised the staff’s friendliness and empathy.

They said: “The staff always chat to me and make me feel welcome. They are so kind. I am so impressed by them.”

Ancasta Grove provides residential, nursing, specialist dementia care, and short-term respite services.
