Firefighters on scene of two-alarm blaze at waste removal facility in Etobicoke

Toronto firefighters are working to extinguish a two-alarm blaze at a waste removal facility in Etobicoke.

The fire broke out at a facility on Shorncliffe Road, Near North Queen Street and Kipling Avenue, at around 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

Toronto Fire told CP24 that garbage is on fire on the lot and multiple aerial trucks are on scene pouring water on the flames.

No injuries have been reported and the fire has been contained to the facility.

Toronto Fire said there are no evacuation orders in place and there is no risk to public safety.
