Gemma Collins has revealed details about her jungle weight loss as fans praise the reality star for ‘carrying the show’.
The TOWIE icon, 45 – who made her jungle comeback after a 13-year break, determined to redeem herself following her mere 3-day stint previously – says she dropped some serious weight after surviving on a basic diet of rice and beans at the camp in South Africa.
Gemma, known as ‘The GC’, admitted she was shocked by how much weight she’d shed during the All Stars programme, which was recorded last September. She had been taking Mounjaro weight loss injections leading up to her second jungle adventure – but was forced to discontinue them following a severe gallbladder attack.

Chatting to OK!, she revealed: ‘When they weighed me I’d lost 1st 4lb (8kg)’. The television personality also disclosed that her stint in South Africa resulted in her using her phone far less as she insisted it was the ‘best digital detox and spiritual healing’.
Meanwhile, as anticipated Gemma is proving to be television gold as viewers are adoring her involvement in camp – including a stomach-churning eating trial on Tuesday night, reports the Mirror.
Joined by Red Dwarf star Craig Charles, she took on the notorious eating trial in a bid to secure her team a place in the main camp.
The duo privately reached an understanding on how many portions of revolting dishes like Fish Eye Pie, Terror-rine, Brain Freeze, and Bloody Moory Shots they were prepared to consume or drink.
The contestant who pledged the highest number of portions had to devour the entire promised quantity to secure a point for their team. In the end, it was a fiercely contested competition, with Gemma battling to manage some of the dishes – but by the final round the pair were neck-and-neck as they confronted an entire tray of Bloody Moory shots.

The episode concluded on a cliffhanger with Craig and Gemma poised to dig in – but viewers were already thrilled with Gemma’s showing.
One posted on X, ‘Obsessed with Gemma wanting to prove herself after last time’ while another commended her saying, ‘Gemma actually doing great at this trial!! GAGGED! Her redemption era begins;’
But she had already confronted her fears upon arriving into camp – soaring in on a helicopter, something that caused her to break down in tears back in 2014.
Before entering the jungle again, Gemma – who is planning her wedding with fiancé Rami Hawesh, declared that she would not be departing the jungle after just 72 hours this time.
In 2014, she dramatically abandoned the show, collapsing on day 3 after believing she had contracted malaria and finding it difficult to handle the shortage of food available. She later confessed she has ‘hung her head’ over the now-iconic moment ever since.
