John Travolta is one proud papa!
On Wednesday, April 8, the actor, 72, gushed over his 26-year-old daughter Ella Bleu after she attended the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in Los Angeles the previous night.
“So proud of my baby [email protected] at the 2026 fashion US awards pink carpet,” Travolta captioned an Instagram shot of Ella posing at the ceremony. “Look out for Ella in my directorial debut, ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach.’ ”
Over on her own Instagram, Ella Bleu gave a closer look at her outfit, revealing she was wearing a black Blu Marine dress with a high-neck and embellished with floral detailing. “Thank you @fashiontrustus@davidkoma@blumarine ❤️🔥,” she captioned the carousel from the evening, which was also attended by the likes of Mindy Kaling, Pamela Anderson and Olivia Wilde.
Ella is starring as a flight attendant in her father’s directorial debut, which was recently confirmed to be premiering at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
On April 2, the Cannes Film Festival announced that Travolta will debut Propeller One-Way Night Coach at the annual French film festival next month.
The film is an adaptation of the Grease star’s 1997 book of the same name. According to a press release, the actor’s passion for aviation led to him creating the family-friendly book for his son in the 1990s.
Per an official synopsis for the movie, Propeller One-Way Night Coach tells the story of a “young airplane enthusiast Jeff (newcomer Clark Shotwell) and his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett) who set off on a one-way cross country odyssey to Hollywood, which transforms a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime. Between airline meals, charming flight attendants (played by Ella Bleu and Olga Hoffmann), unexpected stopovers, larger-than-life passengers, and a thrilling glimpse at first class, the journey unfolds in moments both magical and unexpected, charting the course for the boy’s future.”
And while Travolta is bursting with pride for his only daughter, Ella Bleu is equally as proud of her dad for his latest project. On April 8, the star shared a post on Instagram about the news of the film’s Cannes debut.
“So very honored and excited. Thank you @festivaldecannes ❤️ incredibly proud of you and this film, @johntravolta 🙏,” Ella Bleu captioned the carousel post, which featured a black-and-white shot of her father sitting in the director’s chair on the set of the movie.

The film will begin streaming globally on Apple TV on May 29, a week after the Cannes Film Festival finishes on May 23.
Propeller One-Way Night Coach is not the first time Ella Blu has collaborated with her famous father. In 2009 she starred in her dad’s film Old Dogs, along with 2019’s The Poison Rose. In 2021, she cinched her first lead role in Get Lost, a modern-day retelling of Alice in Wonderland.

In October 2025, PEOPLE also previously reported that Ella Bleu had joined the cast of thriller Black Tides alongside her dad and Melissa Barrera, per Deadline.
Travolta told PEOPLE of his daughter in 2019, “She is her own person. She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous. I don’t know how she came to be, and I don’t take any credit other than just adoring her. And maybe that’s a valid contribution.”
