Former LSU women’s basketball guard reveals transfer destination

Former LSU women’s basketball guard Divine Bourrage found a new school. She committed to Illinois, according to multiple confirmed reports on Thursday.

The former five-star recruit spent her freshman year in Baton Rouge but got buried on the depth chart and didn’t see many critical minutes. Now, she’ll try her hand in the Big Ten with the Fighting Illini.

Bourrage was the first player from LSU to enter the portal. Her departure was followed by three former teammates and she’s the first to choose her next destination.

In her sole season, Bourrage appeared in 24 games but mostly during mop up time. She scored 50 points, averaging 2.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. The rising sophomore signed with the Tigers as part of the highest-ranked class in the 2026 cycle.

Bourrage played behind three of her fellow true freshmen as well as LSU’s starting trio of Jada Richard, Flau’Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams. With Williams and MiLaysia Fulwiley returning, it was unlikely Bourrage could carve out a significant role.
