Section of A27 closed after two hurt in crash

Two people have been taken to hospital with injuries and a section of the A27 in East Sussex has been closed following a serious crash, police have said.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash on the eastbound carriageway, near Ashcombe Roundabout in Lewes, shortly after 20:00 BST on Sunday, Sussex Police said.
The force said the female driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries while the male, sole passenger suffered minor injuries.
The road remains closed eastbound between the B2123 (Falmer) and the A277 (Lewes) while specialist contractors treat “a large spillage” on the carriageway, National Highways said.
