IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – The WNBA draft takes place Monday night with top names from UCLA, UConn, TCU and Spain’s national team expected to go quickly.
Former Iowa forward and center Hannah Stuelke is projected to be selected.
In her final season with the Hawkeyes, Stuelke averaged more than 13 and more than seven rebounds per game. The Cedar Rapids native also led Iowa with 20 games of eight or more rebounds this season and was named Second Team All-Big Ten for the third time in her career.
Since 2019, Iowa has had six players drafted. In 2024, two Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin, went pro. Last year, Lucy Olsen went 23rd overall to the Washington Mystics.
