Nathan Eovaldi will take the mound for the Rangers after his best start of the season in that series against Seattle.

Eovaldi fired six innings, allowing just two runs in what ended up as a 3-2 Rangers win in the second game of that series.

In his last outing, Severino went five innings and allowed just two runs in a 3-2 A’s win over the New York Yankees.

As a team, the Athletics will enter this series on a high note after they just completed a sweep of the New York Mets in Queens for the first time in the history of the franchise.

If you are one who likes to follow the standings all year, then this series is certainly the one for you to be invested in.

Entering play on Monday night, the Rangers and Athletics are tied for first place in the very early AL West standings with identical 8-7 records.

Surely this series doesn’t boast any major applications, given that it’s held in mid-April, but the Rangers will certainly want to continue their quick start against the AL West.

There is no doubt that if the Rangers continue to play well against the division, they will look up and find themselves in a good spot at the end of the year.

As for this specific series, the Rangers will hope to carry over the lots of positives they had at Dodger Stadium this weekend despite winning just one out of the three games.

With a good series, the Rangers will have lots of momentum heading back into Seattle to close this trip.
