OU softball vs Oklahoma State live score updates from Sooners-Cowgirls Bedlam game

Oklahoma State owns Bedlam on the diamond in 2026.
One night after the OSU baseball team defeated Oklahoma at ONEOK Field in Tulsa, the No. 21-ranked Cowgirls defeated the No. 1-ranked Sooners 6-4 Wednesday night in front of 7,826 fans at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
The last time OSU defeated a No. 1 team was against OU on May 14, 2022 here in the Big 12 Championship.
Oklahoma State ace Ruby Meylan (18-6) tossed seven complete innings, allowing only seven hits and striking out nine. Rosie Davis, Lexi McDonald and Tia Warsop led the Cowgirls offensively, combining for six hits and three RBIs.
OU coach Patty Gasso took a different approach in the circle, opting to not throw ace Audrey Lowry. Instead, the Sooners started Miali Guachino (12-1) who allowed four earned runs and struck out five. In relief, Kierston Deal allowed a hit without recording an out and Allyssa Parker allowed two earned runs on three hits with one strikeout.
Oklahoma State led 5-2 late in the sixth until Abby Dayton’s two-out double scored two OU runs to cut it to within one. OSU finished the Sooners off with a run in the sixth and by retiring all three Sooner hitters in the seventh.
Freshman sensation Kendall Wells smacked her 32nd home run of the season deep to right field in the third inning. Wells’ 32 home runs is a new NCAA freshman record. The overall single-season record is 37 by Arizona’s Lauren Espinoza in 1995.
Next, the Sooners (40-5, 13-2 SEC) host No. 6 Arkansas in a three-game series at Love’s Field in Norman this weekend while the Cowgirls (28-11, 9-6 Big 12) host No. 16 Arizona for a three-game series.

In the top frame, OU needed a rally. Who else but spark plug Abby Dayton to ignite it?

The Sooners’ struggles continued in the fifth.
Freshman Allyssa Parker allowed a leadoff double by Oklahoma State’s Rosie Davis and walked Lexi McDonald before Amanda Hasler reached on a fielder’s choice. End of 4th: OSU 4, OU 2 | Cowgirls retake lead
OU’s Ailani Agbayani stole second base with two outs, but OSU pitcher Ruby Meylan got Abby Dayton to ground out to escape the top half of the inning unscathed.
After a double to the right-center gap in the second inning, OSU’s Tia Warsop hit another double — this time to the left-center gap — in the fourth inning. Audrey Schneidmiller turned on a pitch way inside, driving in Warsop on a single to left field.
With two outs in the bottom of the fourth, Kierston Deal replaced Miali Guachino in the circle for the Sooners. Guachino allowed six hits and struck out five in 3 ⅔ innings. Four of the hits she allowed went for extra bases.
Jayelle Austin singled off Deal to score Schneidmiller. Austin advanced to second on the throw home. Deal then walked Claire Timm. Deal, without recording an out, was replaced by freshman Allyssa Parker, who struck out Karli Godwin as OU finally got out of the inning.

Kai Minor flew around the bases for a leadoff triple on a ball that hit off the glove of OSU left fielder Tia Warsop. OSU ace Ruby Meylan struck out Ella Parker for the first out, but then Sooner slugger Kendall Wells came to the plate. Wells rocketed an opposite-field, two-run home run — her 32nd of the year.
OSU’s Karli Godwin tied the game in the bottom half of the inning with a towering drive to left field. The home run came with two outs and two strikes. OU’s Miali Guachino has thrown 60 pitches through three innings.

End of 2nd: OSU 1, OU 0 | Cowgirls get on the board
OSU struck first with a pair of doubles.
The first was an opposite-field line drive down the left field line by Lexi McDonald. Two batters later, Tia Warsop had fouled off a few slap attempts, but took a full swing with a 2-2 count and lined a double into the right-center field gap.
That easily scored pinch-runner Libby Jaques from second for a 1-0 lead. Warsop advanced to third on a groundout but was stranded there.
In the top of the inning, OU got a runner on with a leadoff single by Kasidi Pickering that snuck through the left side of the infield. After a strikeout, a sacrifice bunt moved Pickering to second, but a groundout ended the threat.

End of 1st: OU 0, OSU 0 | Quiet first inning in Bedlam
OU produced a couple of baserunners but otherwise, the first inning of Bedlam softball had little action.
In the top of the inning, OSU pitcher Ruby Meylan struck out the first two hitters before allowing a walk and single. Then she struck out Lexi McDaniel to end the inning.
OSU’s Claire Timm led off the bottom of the inning fouling off three straight pitches in a 2-2 count before working a walk. But she was erased when Karli Godwin grounded into a double play.
