Watching professional golfers play live up close under the hot Lowcountry sun is sure to stir up an appetite.
Luckily, the RBC Heritage, the PGA Tour event happening this week on Hilton Head Island, offers plenty of options for hungry fans. Here’s your guide to meals and snacks both inside and outside the fence.
The concession stands
Several concession stands are sprinkled throughout the Harbour Town Golf Links course. Managed by SERG Restaurant Group, each stand is being operated by a different nonprofit organization, which receives a portion of the proceeds.

Some offer a full menu of foods cooked-to-order, while others offer a limited array of pre-prepared hot and cold items. Most stands offer hot items such as all-beef hot dogs ($8) and pulled pork sandwiches ($11) and cold items such as turkey club wraps ($13), chicken salad croissants ($12), or Italian subs ($15). A gluten-free plant-based salad is available for those who opt not to eat meat; be aware that the salad contains cheese.
A limited number of concession stands include grills and fryers. These stands offer cheeseburgers ($12), Philly cheesesteaks ($14), fried chicken sandwiches ($12), chicken tenders ($11) and fries ($4).
At all concession stands, you’ll also find chips ($3), peanuts ($3), candy ($3), cookies ($4) and brownies ($4).
Fraser’s Tavern
Seeking slightly more elevated fare? Head to Fraser’s Tavern, located near the main entrance to the golf course.
The menu includes a Carolina Smoked Barbecue Pork Sandwich ($17), a 13-hour Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich ($18) or the Davis Love III Five-Time Champion Burger ($22.) Also available are salads such as the Sunburst Salad ($15) featuring baby greens, spiced pecans and seasonal berries; a pasta salad ($13) featuring orzo, chickpeas, cranberries, carrots and red peppers; and a vegan grain bowl ($13) featuring quinoa, black beans, pepitas, mango and a coriander vinaigrette.

What else is around? Our picks
Prefer to sit down somewhere with air conditioning?
There are a few great restaurants in Harbour Town where you can escape from the heat.
The Crazy Crab, a staple of Hilton Head, serves classic seafood fare with stunning views of the marina.
For a more upscale feel, try the Quarterdeck restaurants. For something more casual, try Harborside, an outdoor eatery near the Liberty Oak.
Just a short trolley ride away, the shops at Sea Pines Center offer plenty of dining options. Truffles Cafe is a local favorite. For signature lattes and fresh pastries, check out C’est Bon, and for brunch fare, visit Lowcountry Produce Market & Cafe.
If you’re craving something fresh and healthy, and don’t mind leaving Sea Pines, our fave is delisheeyo, a vegetarian cafe that offers smoothies, wraps and salads. Try the Blueberry Pie shake — you won’t regret it. Delisheeyo is at 32 Palmetto Bay Road and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. There is also Sprout Momma nearby, a local cafe with plenty of options for vegans and non-vegans, and Java Burrito, a fresh-mex and coffee bar combo.
