Trader Joe’s settlement: Shoppers could get a payout over claims receipts that showed too much card information

Trader Joe’s could owe you money.

The grocery chain has agreed to a $7.4 million settlement over claims that receipts showed too many digits from customers’ credit and debit cards.

If you made a purchase between March 2019 and July 2019, you may be eligible for a payout, even if you didn’t experience identity theft.

The company denies any wrongdoing but says it settled to avoid a lengthy legal fight.

Payments will depend on how many people file claims, but estimates put the average at around $100.

Customers have until June 6 to submit a claim.
