Comedian who once handed Theresa May a P45 to headline show at Ringwood venue

A popular comedy night is returning to a Ringwood venue next month with a headline act ready to deliver big laughs.

The Coastal Comedy Show is back at The Barn in Ringwood on Friday, May 1, featuring a star-studded line-up of UK stand-up talent.

Headlining the night is Simon Brodkin, famously known for his character Lee Nelson and high-profile pranks, such as showering FIFA’s Sepp Blatter with dollar bills and handing former Prime Minister Theresa May a P45.

Now performing as himself, Mr Brodkin has taken the UK comedy scene by storm.

A spokesperson for Coastal Comedy said: “His recent Screwed Up tour was extended four times due to phenomenal demand, including three sell-out nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, plus a headline appearance at the Royal Variety Performance.”

The evening’s opener is viral musical comedian Louis Burgess, whose high-energy act blends singing, rapping, beatboxing, and live instrumentation.

Burgess has racked up more than 50 million views worldwide.

Also on the bill is British Comedian Of The Year winner Alistair Williams, described by Chortle as having “Rough diamond charm.”

The show will be hosted by Adrienne Coles of Coastal Comedy Club.

Tickets are £18 (early bird), £20 (advance), or £24 (on the door).

Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
