Preview: Norwich City (H)

Bristol City host Philippe Clement’s Norwich City at Ashton Gate on Saturday, April 18th at 3pm.

The Robins are unbeaten under Interim Head Coach Roy Hodgson, as the former England Head Coach has seen his side take seven points from a possible nine in his opening three games.

Back-to-back victories against Charlton and Sheffield United brought an end to a six-game winless run for City, while Queens Park Rangers held Hodgson’s men to a goalless draw last time out.

Despite ongoing injury woes, City have conceded just one goal in their last three outings, improving on their previous performances.

In a good run of form, City are aiming to maintain their unbeaten run and collect as many points as possible from their four remaining games.

Roy Hodgson confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Max Bird will miss Saturday’s fixture with an injury that he sustained against QPR.

Overseas supporters will be able to watch all the action live on Robins TV, with pre-match build-up starting from 2.30pm.

Match passes are available for £10 and audio passes are available for just £2.50.

Our Opponents: Norwich City

Norwich City suffered a poor start to the 2025/26 campaign, winning just three of their first 20 leagues, including six straight losses in October under Head Coach Liam Manning who made the switch to Norfolk in the summer.

Consequently, the former City boss was relieved of his duties at Carrow Road in November 2025, leading to the introduction of Clement as the Canaries’ new Head Coach.

The Belgian’s first game in charge would see Norwich City lose 4-1 to Birmingham City before an improved display would see a point earned against Oxford United.

The turning point came at the end of November with Clement earning his first win and his side’s first since August as they beat QPR 3-1 at home.

Serving as the catalyst to their impressive change in form, Norwich have since won 14 of their 24 fixtures, climbing up the Sky Bet Championship in the process.

Now ninth and level on points with City, Saturday’s visitors remain 10 points outside the play-off spots with four games to go.
