Coventry Braced For Battle As Everton Circle £25m Star Milan van Ewijk

Coventry City are braced for a battle to keep sensation Milan van Ewijk this summer ahead of a potential Premier League return, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

Everton have earmarked the Dutch ace, who has been a revelation in the Sky Blues’ Championship title push this term, as the solution to their right-back woes

He has been tipped for a big future at the highest level under boss Frank Lampard and his stellar string of performances this term have attracted the attention of a number of Premier League outfits.

As exclusively reported by SportsBoom earlier this season, the Sky Blues’ hierarchy have slapped a big price tag on one of their key assets, who penned a new undisclosed length contract with the club in January.

Coventry have a clear stance that the player is not for sale and given that the Sky Blues are almost certain to be in the Premier League themselves next season a move could prove difficult.

The Sky Blues rejected bids from Besiktas last summer, but attractive offers from closer to home are expected to come this time around.

Interest High In Star

Everton are determined to land their man and have him and the top of their wish list for a new wing-back, with a number of other Premier League suitors also circling.

Scouts from a wide variety of top-flight clubs have been seen at the CBS Arena running the rule over the 25-year-old this season.

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion are also understood to have a firm interest in the player heading into the summer window.

It is unclear whether the £25million Coventry potentially want for the Malaysian international is too rich for their taste.

But it is clear that the rising star, who has provided a whopping ten assists in 40 Championship outings this season, will be plying his trade in the Premier League next season.

Whether that is with Lampard’s Coventry or elsewhere remains to be seen.
