Tennessee baseball wasted a career day from starting pitcher Tegan Kuhns with an offensive dud in a 8-1 loss to No. 23 Ole Miss at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The Vols (25-14, 7-10 SEC) have another matchup against the Rebels (29-11,8-9) again on April 19 (1 p.m. ET, SEC Network+). Tennessee, though, has already lost its fourth SEC series of the season.

The Vols narrowly avoided a shutout with a late, ninth inning solo home run by Trent Grindlinger.
Left-hander Evan Blanco (3-2, 3.67 ERA) will start for Tennessee in Game 3 of the series. Ole Miss will start right-hander Taylor Rabe (3-1, 3.16 ERA).
